The Green Hills Public Library District conducts its operation with the highest regard for the health and safety of its employees and the public.  We have been continuing to monitor updates regarding COVID-19, also known as coronavirus, from various public health authorities including Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Illinois Department of Public Health, and Cook County Department of Public Health.

Library Reopening Plan: Currently in Phase Two

The Library will open to the public with limited hours and services.  Face coverings will be required upon entry into the building.  Quarantine of returned materials and virtual/phone services will continue.  In order to safely maintain workflow, we will open one hour later and close one hour earlier than normal operating hours.  This will provide staff with the ability to safely complete tasks on the public service floor, such as shelving.  Services that allow for safety of community members and staff will be available or limited.  Services that do not allow for safe physical distancing will be temporarily suspended.

Public Hours of Operation:
Monday-Friday: 10am-8pm
Saturday: 11am-4pm
Sunday: 1-3pm

Virtual/phone service will be available one hour before we open to the public and one hour after we close to the public.
